Strategic Account Manager
The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for building and expanding relationships with strategically important customers within Automatic Document Handling & Labelling Systems.
Assume the role as trusted advisor, develop a positive long-term problem solving, counsellor selling relationship and ensure that customers have their expectations and needs satisfactorily met by the organization.
The Strategic Account Manager will deliver income growth through effective lead generation, sales and
account management activities in line with the strategic plan and fulfill any number of assigned targets to ensure volume of sales is at profitable level.
This position will continuously cultivate relationships with Caljan Rite-Hite and internal depart-ments through frequent discussion and interaction. Help to lead solution development efforts that best address the customer needs and expectations, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
The Strategic Account Manager will take accountability for the success, quality and strategy of all assigned client relationships and resulting campaigns, which lead to account growth. The Strategic Account Manager will also be responsible for preparing annual reports and forecasts together with the Managing Director of GmbH.
The Strategic Account Manager will travel extensively in Germany, Europe and on demand Internationally as well.
We expect you to have:
- A BA/BS degree in business or related field or equivalent combination of education, experience or training required
A minimum of 5-8 years B2B and B2C sales experience and proven experience as Strategic Account Manager and superior presentation skills from initial appointment to presenting proposals.
- Experience with complex solution or consultative selling, with strong emphasis on sales of services is required and a demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate contracts and close deals and ability to design and execute an account plan.
- Strong process discipline ability to align planning objectives with a pipeline development process to grow and develop account revenue.
- Solid computer skills required, specifically in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes and knowledge of CRM or sales database software systems.
- Excellent written and verbal English and German communication skills being able to write reports and business correspondence.

Caljan Germany is part of the Caljan Rite-Hite Group headquartered in Aarhus, Denmark and owned by American Rite-Hite Corporation in Milwaukee. The position requires travel activity. You will report to the Managing Director, Wieland Wegge, for Caljan Rite-Hite GmbH.
